I feel grateful to have had the chance to watch the Disney movie wish.
In December 2023, when I saw the billboard on CA 101, I had a wish to watch the movie Wish and it came true this weekend to watch with my dear friend and her kids in a movie theater in Redwood City. What are the odds for them to come to RWC to watch the movie. Pure serendipity - the magic of the universe…
The date and time also makes it magical --- 2/11/24 11:20am 🤗
I was beyond joy and excited - it's been a very long time, maybe even more than 5 years since I've been to a movie theater.
There are so many layers in this movie - filled with hope and trust ... dreams and aspirations … family and community …
Once a Disney fan — forever a Disney fan ❣️
These lyrics spoke to me and this is my song of the week.
Isn't truth supposed to set you free?
Well, why do I feel so weighed down by it?…
So I look up at the stars to guide me
And throw caution to every warning sign
If knowing what it could be is what drives me
…
So I make this wish
To have something more for us than this
And this song and the lyrics from I am a star speaks to the oneness in all of us on this mother earth. So simple and beautiful!
I am a star
Have you ever wondered why you look up at the sky for answers?
…
In the sky, and your front yard
In your heart and in your scars
If you really wanna know just who you are
You're a star!
…
Do you know you're a work of art
Even in the deepest dark?
If you really wanna know just who you are
I'm a star!
I shared Love is wonder. Love is service. last year to celebrate and spread the feeling of love into the universe.
A walk to remember
I love my early morning walks in Redwood city - feel the fresh air and breathe in the sunshine. Each day is a new beginning. A spark in our thinking and a path forward.
As folks celebrate V-day, I wonder what this day means for me. I am grateful to all of you - mi gente — friends, mentees, teams and students, family showering your lovingkindness and continued support to keep me going one day at a time!
To feel precious and treasured by my mentees, students and teams - that’s what this V-day is for me.
Sharing my joy of walking in San Francisco and capturing the beauty of a poppy in the Yerba Buena gardens. I am glad I got to take a wellness day and rest in my own way.
and here is the Poppy from the UK - diverse and breathtaking …
It fascinates me how seeing a poppy connected me to the US and UK at once. Our memory and association works in fascinating ways.
Did you know…
Wearing a red poppy is a symbol of remembrance.
In the United States, the poppy is not traditionally worn on Veterans Day, but on Memorial Day, the last Monday in May, to commemorate the lives of those who died fighting for their country. The Friday before Memorial Day is National Poppy Day.

What makes me…
At the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, a beautiful question prompted me to pause and think. I was mesmerized by the paths the thread took in each step of the way. Follow the thread … its pure magic…
What makes me ME?
Anxiety → Books → Food → Creativity → Photos → Travel → Nature
What makes me feel CONNECTED?
Friends → Food → Photos → Nature → California → Memories → Empathy
What makes me GROW?
New Experiences → New People → Learning → Travel
I encourage each of you to answer these 3 questions and
share your thoughts and reflection in the comments.
A few words can help us see how much we are alike and bring the similarities to be together rather than the differences that keep us apart in teams and communities. In your next brainstorm or team meeting, pause to connect and build a synergy. Don’t put up the walls and limit the possibilities ahead for a great experience. Break down silos and foster a safe environment for team growth.
As a community, we can do so much to listen to our folks and extend a helping hand when in need. We all have our own struggles and we are all a work in progress.
It is not a coincidence that Dr. Laurie Santos and her Yale course on The Science of Well-Being had a profound effect on my life style in 2020. Learning about hedonism and breaking from the hedonic treadmill created the space for me to be happy with the here and now.
In the CNBC article, Laurie shares the No. 1 thing people can do to feel happier - “it would be engaging in social connection.”
To maintain the social connections in life, she recommends 3 things:
Intentionally make time to develop the relationships in life
Be open to connecting with new people
Aim to ask deeper questions during conversations to learn other people’s values and truly connect
This resonates with threading the dots of what makes me ME, connect and grow. I am forever grateful for the people in my life - mi familia around the world.
Cheers to new connections and synergies …
Wishing you smiles and happiness!
