San Francisco is home and I'm grateful for the opportunities to support and keep the city clean with Bayview 3rd Street and Manny's mission community clean ups every weekend. A great way to get the day started and to get outside.

Life is a journey. Take the scenic route.
Another good group that I connected is the Sunday streets and Livable SF. What a great way to bring neighborhoods together with art, food and music.
Being neurodiverse, I am cautious about the groups that I'm in and pay attention to what is working and what is not.
To find my folks, who believe in the same values and ideas. I believe in simplicity and volunteering is a great way for me to give back and be a part of the community.
I have been with some groups in this past year where even an hour felt like a stretch of time. And then I find mi gente, where I truly belong and feel right at peace with the group. And hours fly by in a second…
And I adopted my street/block.. folks adopt cats and dogs, I adopted my street to keep it clean and safe. Thank you SF public works for the clean up supply.
Another lesson that I learned in the past week reading this book has been about trust, compassion and boundaries are important in friendships and relationships. I wish I had known this sooner but better now than never.
Talking about how we feel and listening to how others feel is a lifelong conversation.
With trust, compassion and boundaries in the right balance, being with someone feels effortless.
Trust is the ability to feel safe in a relationship.
Trust is earned based on shared respect, clear communication and lack of exploitation.
Where there is mutual trust, compassion follows and boundaries are respected.
Trusting someone means your feelings are valued and appreciated by the other person.
Compassion is the ability to be open to the experiences of others without judgment or prejudice.
When you have empathy, you can feel what someone else feels, understand it fully, without being personally overwhelmed.
People who are empathetic pick up on other’s feelings easily.
Boundaries are invisible protective lines around your feelings and body based on your experiences.
Healthy boundaries allow trust and compassion to coexist.
Do you trust yourself? Do you have compassion for yourself? Are your boundaries intact?
Balancing trust, compassion and boundaries (TCB) is key to healthy relationships.
Practicing TCB in any relationship turns awkward encounters into a meaningful moment.
Continuous Learning
Joy is important in everything we do from our day to day meaningful work to living our lives to the fullest. Yes, that is my objective of the year to live life to the fullest.
And there are good days and bad days and sad days and that is all part of living life to the fullest.
To let the universe unfold in its own way and find harmony amidst the chaos.
And for me nothing says joy more than learning everyday something new..
I love to start my day with Duolingo - learning a new language and now recently music.. It's interesting how I'm following patterns and find it difficult to remember the notes in music.
It's been 10 years since I started using Duolingo and 600 days is the most committed I have been since 2023. I enjoy the friend quests and streaks where we support each other. It’s a commitment to show up and be there for each other.

People with ADHD are fast thinkers - to paraphrase Dr. Edward M. Hallowell, author of Driven to Distraction, they have "Ferrari brains with Chevy brakes."
Their minds race so quickly from one subject to another, they make connections through a kind of rapid-fire synthesis that eludes the rest of us.
IN THE MODERN AGE, OUR SOCIETY'S RAREST COMMODITY IS NOT GOODS, BUT TIME, AND THE ADHD SUFFERER-WHO REQUIRES MORE TIME ON AVERAGE TO COMPLETE A TASK-MUST GUARD HIS TIME AS THE MOST PRECIOUS OF ALL HIS POSSESSIONS.
And when you get alerts and notifications for earthquake and tsunami warnings that can throw you off. By the way, the warning messages are not really helpful. Could we be more specific than please move to higher ground. Is my condo on a tri level considered high ground?
I would hope and expect the local authorities to provide a little bit more guidance than just alarming notifications on the phone.
My plan was to do whatever my neighbors were doing. Thankfully the tsunami warning was canceled within a few hours. Thanks to folks who checked in…
And after 6 months, I finally got to getting help to get the dryer working again with professional dryer vent cleaning. I learned a little bit more about D90 error.. Nothing ever gets done in the first attempt. And finally after 3 attempts, I hope it works.
