To accomplish great things, we must
not only act, but also dream;
not only plan, but also believe.
- Anatole France
June 2016:
These are not just words, but an inspiration for our drive to greatness.
We are all in this world working hard to contribute, make an impact and grow to be better citizens.
When we realize our true strengths and inner purpose, we will appreciate life more. Every day is a blessing in disguise - so, make the best out of every second.
We have been blessed by our parents, siblings, friends and colleagues who are always there to guide us every second.
Cherish the moments today - one day they will be your memories to hold on.
What was the moment when you realized your inner purpose and took action?
Jan 2023:
These words above from 2016 were my first 100 words into the world of blogs. A spark in creativity. An exploration into the unknown - to find meaning and purpose.
Dear reader: Humbled by each of your support and lovingkindness. Thank you!
You are my 100 readers who have given me a voice in this world.
Be a voice. Our voice matters. We matter.
We are too quick to shy away when see something wrong and not do anything about it. It’s time that we took action. It takes immense courage to speak up. I am trying…
Today, when I received this email prompt, I went back in memory lane: Who am I?
What has been a defining moment for you, and what does it teach you about how to live your life?
Creating a world where we are equal to all - this became my core value. I had an experience in my childhood. I hate when people have double standards, when they seem transactional, where they are quick to judge folks by their looks or status.
Trust - Respect each other irrespective of level or title.
When I watched Matilda, as a little girl - a part of me woke up. I couldn’t see the injustice and felt intelligence was the way forward to make all the wrongs right in the world. Education became my bedrock.
When I saw kindness and generosity in my parents who gave more than they had, I knew I wanted to be kind in the world. To give, help and serve those in need. Service became my leadership mantra. To bring out the best in each other.
When I experienced authenticity in its true form, I knew I wanted to be true to my skin, to be my authentic self - not pretend or be someone I am not. To challenge the status quo and stand up and be a voice for the unspoken.
When I see or hear about violence and injustice, I cringe inside. I hope and pray for peace and harmony in the world.
Who am I? What makes me, me?
I believe in doing good and being the good in the community.
I connect with mindful souls and bring out the best in each other.
I live a simple life with pure joy in the little miracles of the world.
I am a mirror and radiate their compassion and energy into the universe.
I am in search of my true essence and I am peeling the layers one by one, till I can see my true authentic self.
I am learning to let go of the past and the burdens and fears that are holding me back.
I am fearless and a guiding light in this world.
After reading Barack Obama’s Dreams from my Father, I am comforted to know I am not alone in questioning the sense of belonging and in search of home.
We are all right where we need to be. In this moment.
Cheers to finding our soul purpose, family and home in the world.
