What manifested in 2018, is now a ritual at the end of the year to reflect on meaningful work and how to shape the year ahead. It’s about setting the right intention as we get ready to welcome 2023!
Wishing you smiles and happiness!
Wishing you peace and freedom to be you!
Wishing you success in whatever you do or don’t do in 2023!
Feels like 2022 came and went by in a flash. Perhaps when you are doing what matters and enjoying every bit of the journey, seeing everything with childlike awe and inspiration, you are in the creativity zone aka flow, as defined by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi.
I am learning to let go and create space for new opportunities. With commitment and focus, I am able to work collaboratively, channel the right synergies and discover new elements within me.
2022 Highlights to share with y’all:
Mentor 5000+ minutes, 10+ countries, 50+ mentees
Product Marketing - Blessed to teach PMMC Core to 200+ students globally (North America, Europe, Australasia). Amazed by the Scholar program.
Self-published 4 books (ebook, print and audiobook formats) - enjoyed every step in the creative process.
Read 100+ books - bonded with ideas and perspectives with authors.
To build on the reflection for the year on what worked or didn’t work in 2022, I will use a simple framework - Start, Stop, Continue.
Start - Discovered my moonshot goal for 2023 - Mentor and travel the world. (read my story below on vision design with David Medina.)
Stop - Focus on 3 Key results, vs the 10 that I had in 2021-22. This will give me the clarity to do meaningful work.
Continue - I love what I do and I am committed to continue my ikigai as a Mentor and Explorer around the world. The little joys of life!
2023 Personal OKRs - Div
Each year continues to shape the following year and there is pure joy in gaining clarity to focus on what matters.
As I look into the horizon, there is an excitement to seek an uncharted path into the unknown. To see freedom in the eyes and embrace the good, the bad and the ugly.
Each one on this list is intentional and I am moving back to just 3 vs 10 from 2021.

Vision Design: Biggest Goal in 2023
I had a wonderful session with David Medina to discover my biggest goal in 2023. I shared my personal OKRs and felt something was still missing. We started to uncover what’s stopping me from my full potential.
A key question came up: What do I Need vs Want?
Ah, I never thought I could want something. I live a simple life, I don’t care much of materialistic things anymore. I shared that my biggest goal and what I didn’t get to do this year in 2022 was to travel. So, I want to mentor and travel around the world in 2023. I have the power of intention in the past few years and I truly believe I can make this a reality when I channel the right synergies.
A year ago in Dec 2021, I wasn’t sure how I was going to support myself with mentoring. Opportunities unfolded and I am forever grateful to the mentees who believed in me and paved the way to this uncharted path forward. Now I am taking a brave step to create mentoring services - Career growth, Authentic Leadership, Product Marketing. This is my ikigai and purpose in life. Humbled by the opportunity to serve y’all.
It became clear in my conversation with David that I was looking at money for sustainable income - just enough to make it through the year. Now, I know better that is not my best self. I value the freedom to travel and I cannot do that without money to support me and my parents.
In April 2022, I had a grand plan to travel in the east coast, but I felt helpless that I didn’t have the financial stability to make it a reality. I had friends extend their homes to stay but something didn’t feel right. Now, it makes sense why I struggled.
I am an explorer at the core and I am excited by the vision to live and travel freely.
Fun fact: Vasco Da Gama, a portuguese explorer came to Calicut for spices in 1498 and I was born in Calicut in 1984. What a beautiful medley of numbers..
Portugal is one of my next travel destinations..
coincidence or serendipity.. only time will tell :)
Energy finds it way in the universe - I want it but I don’t need it!
I am going to be intentional and set milestones. I am going to experience what good money looks like so I can travel.
How much and by when do I need this?
What is → What could be?
I need $ to sustain → I want $$ to be free
(I struggled to come up with the number, but now that I have made peace with the number, I am going to strive to make it happen and remove any obstacles in the way).
I am creating a possibility: I want to be true to who I am, to be my best self and serve mindful folks in need. My identity was in conflict when I felt, I was being selfish asking for more. Now, I know I can be selfless, support parents, travel and mentor folks.
I need to bring empowerment to money to experience and give generosity. I need to create a lovingkindness relationship with money and align with my vision.
see money as an enabler
speak up and be a voice
notice the friction with mindfulness
Asking for money for mentoring is being generous to others, me and support parents. It’s the willingness to pay for the time and value together.
Freedom
This was good reminder from Jack Kornfield’s book: No Time Like the Present: Finding Freedom, Love, and Joy Right Where You Are
Each of us has our unique gifts and expression. We’re here to deliver our gifts.
Edward Everett Hale: “I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. I will not let what I cannot do stop what I can do.”
You are free to contribute to this world—every moment, every day.
Selfless Service: You are free to change the world around you.
You can’t change it all, but your freedom empowers you to contribute to the world, and your love gives you the way to do so.
Now I know that I am so much bigger than my fears.
The Joy of Being Alive Now and then it’s good to pause in your pursuit of happiness, and just be happy. —GUILLAUME APOLLINAIRE
Every light has a shadow. I will be more compassionate to my shadow and my fear.
Generosity is how I show up, not just what I do. I am committed to make this a reality. This is my biggest goal and focus for 2023.
Generosity is a choice, not an obligation.
I wish you lovingkindness and compassion as you reflect on 2022
and set your true intentions for your 2023 personal OKRs.
